How Can I Have A Relationship With God?
God tells us in the Bible how we can be saved from our sins and have a relationship with Him.
Read the follwing points and then pray to accept Jesus as your Savior and be forgiven of your sins. Then you will be free to have a relationship with God as His adopted child (Romans 8:16-17).
All people are sinners.....For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23
Because we are sinners, we are separated from God...... For the wages of sin is death. Romans 6:23a
God doesn't want to be separated from people. He created us and loves us. So He sent His Son to die for the whole world.............. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16
God's salvation is a free gift for you to accept...... For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boost. Eph 2:8-9
Accepting Jesus is the only way to be saved and have eternal life with God...... Jesus said to him, "I am the way , and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me. John 14:6
All you have to do to be saved is to believe Jesus died for your sins and ask Him to come into your life and make you a new person..... That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9
The following is a suggested prayer for you to pray to receive Christ as your Savior:
Dear God, I am a sinner. I believe that you sent Jesus to die for me and take away my sin. I believe that He died on the cross and rose again to cover my sin and give me eternal life. I accept Jesus as my Savior right now. Thank you for sending Jesus and forgiving my sin. In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.
Now that you have become a Christian, remember these things:
Now that you are a child of God and a Christian, God will never leave you......Nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:39
You need to follow the example of Jesus and be baptized......Now when all the people were baptized, Jesus was also baptized, and while He was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended upon Him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came out of heaven, "You are My beloved Son, in You I am well-pleased." Luke 3:21-22
There will be times when you will sin. Whatever you do, tell God about your sin and ask Him to forgive you.....If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1John 1:9
You have received a wonderful gift. God wants you to tell others how they can also receive the gift of salvation..... Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Matthew 28:19
